What are Wax Worm Pre Packs?
Our Waxworms Pre-Pack are avalible in 15g or 40g and are full of live Waxworms that have been bred to feed exotic animals, including birds, reptiles and amphibians. We feed Waxworms nutritious honey and wheat germ to ensure they are gutloaded and packed full of the key nutrients your animals need to thrive.
Live Waxwroms are the larvae of the Greater Wax Moth and are filled with proteins needed for animal growth and development. They are also good for ill or growing animals as they contain a high amounts of fat. Which makes Waxworms a great treat for your exotic animals!
How Long Does Waxworms Live For?
Apon arrival at your home, you should store your Waxworms in a consistant room-temperature location. Waxworms will normally last around a week or two before cocooning and turning into moths. The life cycle of Waxworms and Wax moths can be slowed down by simply lowering the temperature of the shallow container your worms arrive / kept in. We find storing them in a cool fridge can help prolong the life of Waxworms and prolong them from turning into Wax Moths.
